Weirder Things - Candy Express[edit]

m45 was in the kitchen preparing to make treats for the Halloween party in order to help lighten RF SpringfieldThumb button.pngSpringfield ’s workload. However, RF WA2000Thumb button.pngWA2000  had other plans and press-ganged m45 into assisting her with the haunted house animatronics despite m45’s hesitation in performing non-bakery related work. m45 attempted her best to help WA2000 but was clumsy in making errors such as accidentally kicking the toolbox in the dark and bringing the wrong tools. WA2000 asked m45 to turn on a specific switch in the monitoring room; despite m45 verifying which switch to pull with WA2000, a power outage immediately occurred afterwards. Frustrated, WA2000 assumed m45 had made another mistake and quickly berated her. However, upon arrival to the monitoring room, WA2000 was puzzled that the correct switch had been pulled. WA2000 still attempted to save face, stating that m45 should have taken a closer look at the gauges before turning it on, and left m45 to check the electrical room alone.

m45 was frightened of being alone in the dark monitoring room, and muffled her scream when an unfamiliar voice was heard from the other side of the door. The voice, which was later revealed to be Springfield, assumed that m45 was WA2000 and apologized for the power outage. She claimed it was her fault for not checking the electrical wiring’s state of disrepair before the event, causing everyone’s efforts to be in vain. Springfield began to leave, but m45 requested her to stay for an impromptu confession. Still not knowing the identity of the other party behind the door, m45 expressed her insecurities regarding only being good at baking. She had felt trapped in the kitchen and had joined WA2000 in the Haunted House to step out of her comfort zone, but regretted that decision after making so many mistakes. m45 confided that she thought herself insignificant compared to perfect multi-talented Springfield. Springfield in turn informed m45 that Springfield merely faked her confidence and often had self-doubts, before opening the door to reveal her identity to m45.

She later attended the Halloween party in a beautiful costume prepared by Springfield, which made her completely unrecognizable even to the Commander when not wearing her glasses. m45 noted that the costume was a form of encouragement from Springfield to step outside the kitchen once in a while, but had second thoughts on continuing to wear it due to the Commander being unable to tell who she was. m45 decided that she was better suited to being a bakery girl[1] after all. Still, she looked sentimental and wistful when mentioning that she had received the outfit from Springfield, causing the Commander to suspect m45 had grown from her experience that Halloween via a secret kept between her and Springfield.
